The Hidden Costs of a Disney Cruise: 12 Things That AREN'T Included

Don't get sticker shock at the end of your cruise! Learn about gratuities, port adventures, adult dining, and other costs that aren't in your base fare.

While a Disney cruise is more 'inclusive' than many other lines, it is not 'all-inclusive.' To avoid any surprises on your final day, you need to budget for these common extras.

The Big Three: Gratuities, Alcohol, and Excursions

1. Gratuities: These are mandatory tips for the crew who take care of you. You can pre-pay these to save stress later. 2. Alcohol and Specialty Drinks: While soda is free, beer, wine, cocktails, and specialty coffees (like at Cove Cafe) cost extra. 3. Port Adventures: Excursions in port can easily add $500-$1,000 to a family's budget.

Adult-Exclusive Dining

While the main dining rooms are free, the famous Palo ($50) and Remy ($135) have an additional per-person charge. They are worth it, but definitely not 'free'!
